Hello!
During my first pregnancy I became enthralled in all things birth. Soaking up endless birth stories and seeking knowledge. After the birth of my first son I was so disheartened by the birth stories being shared by my friends and community and the struggles of postpartum. The newness of it all can be challenging! But where was the joy and the elation? These things can go hand in hand. Each of my subsequent babies lead me deeper into the meaningfullness of birth work and honouring the sacredness of postpartum.
I am called to do this work to reconnect families to their inner birth wisdom and to slow down and ease into postpartum so the whole family can connect intuitively. |
When I'm not serving families I'm often found with my three amigos and husband exploring new trails and beaches. Having recently moved back to Ontario from living in Vancouver for 15 years we are having a wonderful time rediscovering this beautiful province.
I am an avid knitter (a recent convert from crochet). It has become a daily practice of grounding and getting in the "flow". I will often pack a project with me. As a doula one of my priorities is to normalize birth and postpartum. To keep it slow and at ease. Not much else keeps this energy than mirroring the energy in a gentle knit... purl.
